Kristina Renee Jewelry

ABOUT THE COMPANY:
I started the jewelry website about a year ago but have been making jewelry since Hurricane Katrina. I began making jewelry because I desperately wanted a pair of sterling silver angel wings and could not find them anywhere! I make jewelry from fine silver, sterling silver, fused dichroic glass, and enamel!

ABOUT THE OWNER:
I graduated from LSU with a degree in Textile, Apparel, and Merchandising. I worked in the Fashion Industry for a few years but realized it was not my calling and after Hurricane Katrina I decided that I could apply some of what I had learned in Fashion Design to Jewelry making. I also liked that making a piece of jewelry was so much faster than making an outfit. So I began to read and look at books and magazines and teach myself the basics. I attended two semesters of Basic Metalsmithing at Delgado to teach me the basics of soldering and metal work. Everything else I taught myself. I have also been certified by PMC Connection in three levels and can now teach basic classes in PMC.
